Carville apologizes, pulls YouTube video after letter from Melania Trump’s lawyer

Longtime Democratic strategist James Carville on Thursday apologized and said he’d pulled down pieces of a previous podcast tied to Jeffrey Epstein’s dealings after legal pushback from first lady Melania Trump.

“After the episode, we received a letter from Melania Trump’s lawyer. He took issue with our title of one of those YouTube videos from that episode and a couple of comments I made about the first lady,” Carville said during his Thursday podcast episode.

“We took a look at what they complained about, and we took down the video and edited out those comments from the episode. I also take back these statements and apologize,” he added.

Trump took issue with a segment in which Carville discussed how Melania Trump had met Epstein. The now-first lady met him at New York’s Kit Kat Klub, as detailed in her memoir.

The White House did not immediately respond to The Hill’s request for comment on the matter.

In response to Carville’s false allegations, Melania posted an image with a transcript of his apology and a crossed out a screenshot of his previous episode on X.

The administration has come under pressure from conservatives in recent weeks to release any files related to Epstein. Democrats have seized on the GOP fissures.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) recently subpoenaed Trump’s predecessor, former President Clinton to testify about his relationship with Epstein before members of Congress.
