ALLENTOWN, Pa. (WHTM) — After a pair of fatal motorcycle crashes last weekend, a Pennsylvania coroner is asking drivers and motorcyclists to be vigilant and stay safe.

Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio said his office has investigated eight motorcycle crash fatalities this year. Last year, there were 12 in the Lehigh Valley county.

Just last weekend, Buglio said his office investigated two fatal motorcycle crashes, one of which killed a Dauphin County man.

“I am asking every motorist and motorcyclist to be vigilant,” Buglio said. “Please drive safely, stay undistracted, and follow the speed limit.”

“Speeding and careless driving are often contributing factors to these crashes,” Buglio added.
