With another $165 million locked up thanks to a recent contract extension, Luka Doncic has purchased a new Rimac Nevera. People have thoughts about the NBA star rolling around in the Croation all-electric hypercar which sells for over $2 million.
Pamela Anderson claims Sylvester Stallone bribed her with a Porsche.
We know Doncie, who’s now a member of the Los Angeles Lakers, loves to drive flashy cars. That’s why the Slovenian was blown away recently when he drove the ultra-exclusive Brabus Rocket 1000. An while he has a thing for exotic European rides like the Nevera, the man’s tastes go far beyond.
In the past, he’s arrived for NBA games driving a classic first gen Camaro sporting a psychedelic wrap. The man also owns an Apocalypse Manufacturing Hellfire 6x6, which is a heavily modified Jeep.
Video footage of Doncic in the Rimac hypercar has generated a lot of online attention. He’s been tooling around Los Angeles in the thing, obviously using a fraction of its performance capabilities while wowing fans.
That’s probably in part why he bought the Nevera, a vehicle which will turn heads, especially for someone who understands what it is.
After all, it’s packing 1,914-horsepower and a mind-boggling 2,340 lb.-ft. of torque. All that earth-shattering power will rocket the hypercar from 0 to 60 mph in 1.81 seconds, making it in a way more akin to a Formula One racecar than a road-going vehicle.
But it’s not all just off-the-line acceleration. The Nevera can polish off the quarter mile in 8.25 seconds. It’s capable of hitting a top speed of 256 mph, if you can find a place to safely go that fast.
With how much Doncic is worth already, not to mention is contract extension, we think the man can afford the EV.
