The interstate Powerball jackpot rests at a sizable half-billion on the line for the Aug. 11 drawing ($501 million to be more accurate).
The grand prize could go to any person with the right numbers who bought a ticket in any of the 45 participating U.S. states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
If you're an Ohio resident with a ticket, you're probably hoping Lady Luck will bestow her blessing onto the Buckeye State tonight. But has such luck ever smiled on any Ohioans?
While there is no shortage of partial Powerball prizes sold in Ohio, like the $1 million ticket sold Aug. 6 at a Seville Circle K, records show that only a handful of winning tickets for full jackpots have been sold here. This includes a hefty cash prize sold in 2024 that remains unclaimed.
Here's what you need to know about Ohio's past Powerball jackpot winners.

Meanwhile, Ohio's neighbor, Indiana, has had 39 jackpot winners, or 9.3% of the total. That's even though Ohio is the seventh most populous state and Indiana is 17th.
