Popular Mobile Mechanic Moving After Targeting Accusations

A mobile mechanic who has a big social media following has decided to move after he alleges the city where he lives have been targeting him. Matthew Parker, who runs Parker’s Mobile Mechanics, recently told his followers he’s looking at five different states for a new home, leaving Oklahoma behind for good.

GM hints at an all-electric hypercar Corvette, again.

For now, it’s not clear where Parker’s Mobile Mechanics is relocating to, but the man has made it crystal clear the City of Tulsa has made him feel rather unwelcome. That was probably the intention of local government workers, so they’re probably feeling good about themselves.

Back in June, Parker was dealing with accusations from the city that he violated code by having a commercial vehicle and was operating an illegal business out of his house, reports Fox 23. Apparently, some of his neighbors really don’t like the guy and decided to complain, which touched off what Parker said felt like targeting harassment by the city.

Allegedly, Parker had inoperable vehicles parked in his driveway and his work truck was sitting outside, both violations of city code. Even though the man worked to rectify those situations, he said the city kept sending people to take photos which made it appear like he hadn’t.

Parker contests that he does all his work away from his house, because he’s a mobile mechanic and goes to where his customers are. That apparently is a difficult concept for Tulsa government workers to understand.

The man doesn’t charge his customers money for servicing or repairing their rides. They’re often people in desperate need, so Parker does the work for free, instead making his living off his social media.

In other words, Parker is a great guy. But Tulsa and Oklahoma will be losing him to somewhere else and people living in the new place he calls home will benefit from his presence.
