Aug. 12 (UPI) -- Police in Alabama came to the rescue of a young coyote found with its leg stuck in a gap in a tree in Springville.
The Springville Police Department said Officers Maggie Milazzo and Jeff King responded when a homeowner called Saturday to report a coyote stuck in a tree.
The pup's leg was pinned in the tree's crevice.
The officers used a shovel to help widen the gap until the coyote pup was free.
The coyote did not appear to be injured and ran off into the nearby woods.
