
SALLISAW, Okla. (KNWA/KFTA) — An Oklahoma man accused of shooting someone during an altercation last month has been arrested, according to the Sallisaw Police Department.
SPD said in a social media post that Todd Smith, 63, was arrested without incident on Aug. 12 by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and the United States Marshals Service.

Smith was wanted in connection with a July 27 shooting incident on North Maple in Sallisaw. SPD said that a victim sustained a gunshot wound during an altercation.
The victim was taken to the nearby hospital for their injuries and was treated and released shortly after the incident.
Fort Smith continues emergency water conservation measures
A search warrant was executed at Smith’s residence near Redwood and Hickory Streets, but he was not home.
SPD said that following an extensive investigation with OHP and USMS, Smith was apprehended.
Smith was taken to the Sequoyah County Jail and booked on feloniously pointing a firearm, assault with a deadly weapon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
