CONNECTICUT (WTNH) — A New York man received five years probation for making a large amount of harassing and threatening communications, according to the Department of Justice.
N.Y. man pleads guilty to sending threatening messages
30-year-old Elijah Whyte of White Plains, New York sent 1,330 text messages, made 72 phone calls and left three voicemail messages to a Connecticut resident in the span of two months in 2023. Court documents said that many of the messages were threatening and harassing, discussing the victim getting raped and killed and talked about the victim’s children.
He has been detained since Nov. 2023 and pleaded guilty to repeated harassing telephone communications on May 16.
