DES MOINES, Iowa — An Iowa State Fair tradition broke a record on the first Sunday of the fair.
The Iowa Egg Council announced it had broken its single-day record for the number of eggs on a stick served. On Sunday, August 10 the organization said it served 22,032 eggs on a stick.

Fairgoers can get a free hard-boiled egg at the Iowa Egg Council booth in the Agriculture Building each day of the fair.
The fair runs from August 7 to the 17.
