A discovery in the Mississippi River could be a clue in a local missing person case.

On Sunday, Aug. 10, a fisherman noticed something out of the ordinary on his sonar finder while fishing on the river near Sartell, according to a Stearns County Sheriff's Office release.

The fisherman thought it could be a car and called the sheriff's office. The Stearns County Sheriff's Office Water Patrol team saw the same thing when it arrived.
