More than 100 employees are slated to lose their jobs in September after a senior living facility announced mass layoffs.
Woodstock Christian Life Services reported it would lay off a total of 117 employees as a result of closing its location at 920 and 928 N. Seminary Ave. in Woodstock.
The layoff was reported to the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity on Aug. 8 as part of the Illinois Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act. Layoffs will begin Sept. 30, according to state filings.
Woodstock Christian Life Services was established in 1903 and provided supportive housing to senior adults. The company joins others across Illinois in announcing layoffs during July and August, including Ryder Integrated Logistics and OSF HealthCare.
