From Revuelto to Fenomeno

The Lamborghini Revuelto cemented its place in history when it debuted in 2023 – not just because it's the flagship successor of the Aventador. With a new V12 plug-in hybrid powertrain and 1,001 horsepower, it became the most powerful production model in Sant’Agata’s history. For a time, it stood as the ultimate expression of Lamborghini’s performance capability. That distinction now belongs to the Fenomeno, unveiled at this year’s Monterey Car Week.

The Fenomeno joins Lamborghini’s Few-Off program, a series of ultra-limited, special models produced in very small numbers. Previous Few-Offs include the Reventón, Sesto Elemento, Veneno, Centenario, and Sián. Its name continues Lamborghini’s bullfighting tradition, referencing a pardoned bull from Mexico, while also translating to “phenomenal” in both Italian and Spanish.

Power, Performance, and Design

At its core, the Fenomeno builds on the Revuelto’s plug-in hybrid layout. It uses the same 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine paired with three electric motors and an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. Output climbs to 1,065 hp, with 824 hp coming from the V12 alone. Torque peaks at 535 lb-ft at 6,750 rpm, supplemented by 258-lb-ft from each of the two front electric motors. The result is a car capable of 0-62 mph in 2.4 seconds, 0-124 mph in 6.7 seconds, and a top speed above 217 mph.

Lightweight construction underpins this performance. The Fenomeno’s monofuselage chassis and bodywork are made entirely from carbon fiber, while the front structure employs Forged Composite. Aerodynamics have also been extensively revised, with a front S-Duct, concave roof profile, and Omega-shaped rear wing working together to improve stability and cooling. Lamborghini cites a 30 percent improvement in side air cooling compared to other V12 models.

The design plays into Lamborghini’s “design manifesto” theme, featuring GT3-inspired front intakes, Y-shaped lighting elements, and a longtail profile reminiscent of the Essenza SCV12. Inside, the cockpit follows the brand’s “feel like a pilot: philosophy, with three digital screens replacing most physical buttons, heavy use of carbon fiber, and custom bucket seats.

A Rare Bull Even Fewer Can Afford

As with past Few-Offs, the Fenomeno is reserved for a very small number of Lamborghini’s top clients. Only 29 cars will be produced, each highly customizable through the Ad Personam program. Buyers can select from more than 400 exterior colors and virtually unlimited interior options.

Lamborghini has yet to disclose the Fenomeno's pricing, though it will certainly exceed the Revuelto’s $600,000 base price. Beyond its exclusivity, the Fenomeno also marks 20 years of Lamborghini Centro Stile, the company’s in-house design department, adding further weight to its role as a rolling design statement and technical flagship.
