Domino’s Pizza, a brand that’s known for doing silly things, used a submarine in a stunt at Loch Ness in Scotland. Of course, tourists and locals who spotted something mysterious surfacing in the lake made famous by the monster Nessie were shocked as they thought they had finally seen the legend itself.
In his latest album, Justin Bieber praises his wife’s old GMC Yukon.
Instead, what was lurking below the surface was a Seabreacher X submersible watercraft wearing a Domino’s wrap. Inside was a pizza delivery guy trying to reach a couple on the shore. It was, of course, a publicity stunt as cameras were rolling to create another hilarious commercial.
The Seabreacher X, which is made by Pacific Sky, is a two-seater performance submersible with upwards of 325-horsepower on tap. It can but through the water at speeds up to 45 mph, so it can really haul.

Of course, you can choose to take the sharp-shaped vehicle underwater, with the snorkel peeking above the surface, which is in part what started to freak out people at Loch Ness. After all, they had no idea a vessel was under the water, so to see something begin to emerge will give them Loch Ness Monster vibes.
It doesn’t help that the pilot can also make the Seabreacher X jump out of the water at a 90 degree angle. With a shape that looks organic instead of mechanical, especially from a distance, it would be enough to jar anyone, regardless of the location.
According to Domino’s, it was the world’s first submarine pizza delivery. We think that’s true.

This isn’t the first time Domino’s has done a gimmicky pizza delivery recently. A few weeks ago, the company used a Boston Dynamics robot dog to deliver pizzas on a beach in the UK, keeping the hungry seagulls at bay.
Four months ago, the company revealed a pothole-resistant bicycle that was used to deliver pizzas in Beckenham, UK on a road infamous for its disrepair.
For some reason, all these whacky deliveries are being done in the UK – what gives with that? We don’t know.
