If you’ve ever dreamed of owning a Batmobile but don’t have Bruce Wayne’s billions, Mahindra just revealed the next best thing: the BE 6 Batman Edition. This limited-run electric SUV was created in partnership with Warner Bros.
Discovery brings Gotham’s dark, cinematic energy to the streets. Only 300 units will ever be built, instantly making it a collector’s fantasy. Sadly, it’s launching exclusively in India, leaving U.S. fans wishing they could snag one of their own.
A Gotham-Ready SUV

The BE 6 Batman Edition is Mahindra’s first official collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, and it’s dripping with Dark Knight attitude. Limited to just 300 units, it’s designed to feel like a collectible you can drive.
Pricing in India comes in at ₹27.79 lakh, which works out to about USD 33,000. That’s only a slight bump (roughly $1,000 more) than the standard BE 6 Pack Three model it’s based on. For comparison, that’s less than a base Toyota RAV4 Hybrid in the U.S., but this thing has Batman logos baked into its DNA. Deliveries start on September 20, 2025, perfectly timed with International Batman Day.
The Bat-Treatment Inside and Out

Mahindra didn’t just slap a sticker on this SUV—they went full Gotham.
Exterior: Satin black paint with gloss black cladding, accented with gold highlights on suspension springs, brake calipers, window trim, and even the hubcaps.
Details: A roof-mounted Batman emblem, special decals, and projection lights that beam the Bat-signal onto the street.
Interior: Black-and-gold suede seats, “Batman Edition” badging, Dark Knight-themed ambient lighting, and a unique startup chime straight out of a Christopher Nolan film.
It’s a legit EV with a superhero alter ego.

EV Performance That’s More Than Just Hype
Underneath the cape, the BE 6 Batman Edition is based on Mahindra’s high-spec Pack Three trim. It carries a 79 kWh battery with an impressive 423 miles of range (certified under India’s ARAI cycle). Even if that figure is optimistic compared to EPA standards, it still puts it ahead of most mainstream EV crossovers in the U.S.
Why We’re Jealous in the U.S.
The BE 6 Batman Edition hits that perfect sweet spot: attainable price, unique style, and pop-culture flair. In America, we get plenty of limited-run SUVs, but rarely do they feel this imaginative.
Imagine if Ford dropped a Bronco Marvel Edition, or Rivian rolled out a Star Wars-inspired adventure EV with branded lighting and sound effects. Instead, we’re stuck admiring Mahindra’s creativity from afar.
How It Stacks up Against U.S. EVs
Model | Starting Price (USD) | Battery Size | Range (EPA est.) | Special Factor |
Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition | ~$33,000 (India only) | 79 kWh | 423 miles (ARAI) / likely ~320–350 miles EPA | Limited to 300 units, Batman branding, gold accents, themed interior |
Tesla Model Y Long Range | ~$47,740 | 75 kWh | 310 miles | Minimalist design, vast charging network |
Hyundai Ioniq 5 SE Long Range | ~$45,400 | 77.4 kWh | 303 miles | Retro-futuristic styling, ultra-fast charging |
Ford Mustang Mach-E Premium | ~$47,795 | 91 kWh (usable ~88 kWh) | 312 miles | Performance SUV vibes, Mustang heritage |
Bottom Line
For about $33K, Indian buyers are getting an SUV that feels like a piece of cinematic history. With only 300 units made, it’s guaranteed to sell out fast.
If Mahindra ever brought this stateside, you can bet fans would be lining up in droves. Until then, the BE 6 Batman Edition remains one of those cool rides we wish we could get here in the U.S.
