Images of a classic Dodge Super Bee that was tragically wrecked after the throttle reportedly became stuck have saddened many. After all, to see what was obviously a beautiful Mopar muscle car reduced to a mangled mess is just too much for many gearheads and even regular folk.
Watch a drag racer crash big, then walk away unhurt.
According to Motorcity Modified Auto Club out of the Detroit area, the crash happened in that area. Supposedly, a shop owner was taking the old Dodge out for a spin, we don’t know if it was to diagnose a problem or after something was repaired, when things literally went sideways.

We can only imagine the Super Bee was going fast when it crashed. The picture of it before the poor thing was hauled onto a wrecker shows it next to some trees and there appears to be some damage to the trunks, so it’s not a huge logical leap to conclude those are what finally stopped the muscle car’s forward progress.
There’s no word on if the driver was injured, but we don’t see how he couldn’t have been.
However, not everyone is buying the supposed story. We can’t confirm if that’s indeed how the Super Bee was crashed, but it sounds plausible. But some gearheads think the story is garbage, saying you can just turn off the ignition and coast to a stop.

But we believe the story because incidents like this have been documented. Take, for example, the infamous Autotopia LA crash from a while back. That was thanks to a stuck throttle and failed brakes, so it is obviously possible.
Since we don’t really know the story about this crash, we’re suspending all judgment until more can be learned. For now, what we know for sure if a beautiful classic Dodge Super Bee has been reduced to scraps, at least until someone who values the muscle car undertakes a full restoration.
