KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Thousands of customers across the Kansas City metro woke up without power early Tuesday morning as storms moved through the area.
As of 7 a.m., Evergy reported more than 21,000 without power. In a text to customers, Evergy said, “Due to weather, we are experiencing widespread outages. We’re working hard and will send an update ASAP!”

In Wyandotte County, an outage map for the Kansas City Board of Public Utilities shows that just under 2,000 people are without power.
In addition to power outages, there are fallen trees in a number of Kansas City neighborhoods, including the Country Club Plaza area.

If you have fallen branches or trees, report it through the myKCMO app under “Make a report” and select “Trees City Row.” The city said these reports help keep the community safe and speed up cleanup.
The Raymore-Peculiar School District posted to Facebook, saying they are experiencing power outages in various areas. The district said school is still in session, but some services may be limited.
