Police are investigating the death in Middlesex County of a 64-year-old woman from Columbia, South Carolina.
Shirley Thompson was found shortly after 9:35 a.m. at the Skytop Gardens Apartments in Sayreville after police received a 911 call about an unresponsive female.
Thompson was pronounced dead at the scene.
The prosecutor’s office did not immediately respond to a request for further information.
