Drugs found during Indiana arson investigation

RICHMOND, Ind. (WDTN) — Deputies recovered methamphetamine while investigating a suspicious house fire over the weekend.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, a house fire was reported on Sycamore Lane on Saturday morning. Police say everyone was able to get out safely, thanks to family members reaching a man trapped inside.

Two arrested after Champaign Co. Drug Bust

Investigators determined the fire was intentionally set, and arrested a Richmond woman on felony arson charges.

While investigating the arson, police found 51 grams of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and two firearms.

More charges could potentially be filed as a result.
