
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga gave an all clear after police did not find an active shooter.
The campus lockdown has been lifted.
"Law enforcement found no evidence of a threat," the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga posted.
All classes are canceled until Aug 22.
"All students and non-essential employees may leave campus for the day," according to a University of Tennessee at Chattanooga X post.
A report of a shooter came in at about about 1 p.m., according to a Chattanooga Police Department X post, and local, state and federal agencies converged on the campus.
No victims or shooter were found, police said about an hour later.
