The drone triggered sirens in Bnei Netzarim, Neveh, Talmei Yosef, and Dekel.

The IDF intercepted a Houthi drone that triggered sirens along Israel's border with Egypt on Friday, the military said, after making several attempts.

The drone triggered sirens in Bnei Netzarim, Neveh, Talmei Yosef, Dekel, Mivtahim, the Yesha moshav, Amioz, Sde Nitzan, and Ein Habesor.

The IDF must respond to the Houthis' terrorism, a security source told Walla last week. "There is a series of events and actions that require a response, and the chief of staff is advancing this issue consistently," the source said.

IDF Intelligence Directorate has long expanded its data collection activities on the Houthis in Yemen, Walla reported. These issues were also discussed with the US Central Command.

Strike on Haziaz power station in Sanaa

The IDF on Sunday struck the Haziaz power station in Sanaa that was used by the Houthis in Yemen, in response to repeated attacks by Houthis against Israel and Israeli civilians, including launching surface-to-surface missiles and drones toward Israeli territory.

Senior Houthi leaders were at the power station at the time of the strike, British news outlet The Telegraph reported.

The Houthis have launched over 320 drones at Israel since the start of the terror organization's assault on the Jewish State after Hamas's October 7 massacre in 2023.
