Kansas City man drowns after falling off dock at Lake of the Ozarks

A Kansas City man fell off a dock and drowned at Lake of the Ozarks early Saturday morning, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

State troopers responded to the 38 mile marker of Fan Hollow Cove in Camden County around 12:15 a.m. following a reported drowning.

According to a highway patrol incident report, a 52-year-old man was seen falling off a dock into the water and never resurfaced.

First responders recovered the man’s body and a medical examiner pronounced him dead around 4:15 a.m., the highway patrol said.

The man has not yet been publicly identified.

The highway patrol continues to investigate what led up to the drowning.
