Police have set up a perimeter around the area, and students are being evacuated, per the Gazette.

According to the outlet, Fayetteville Police Department spokesman Sgt. Stephen Mauk said just after 12:30 p.m. that officers were investigating a possible active shooter, but said he had not received confirmation at that time. At about 1:30 p.m., Mauk said there was not evidence of a shooting, but police were tracking leads and looking for evidence.
