If you bought a Mega Millions ticket at a Florida Publix, check those numbers.

A winning ticket was sold at a Daytona Beach Publix in the Tuesday, Aug. 26 drawing.

The quick pick ticket is worth $3 million and was one of two winning tickets sold in Tuesday's drawing. Another ticket sold in Mississippi was worth $2 million, according to Mega Millions.

The Mega Millions ticket in the Aug. 26 drawing was a three-times multiplier winner, making the value of the winning ticket $3 million.

How does Mega Millions multiplier work?

In the new $5 version of Mega Millions, which was launched in April 2025, a random multiplier is included with every purchase, multiplying the base prize by 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X or 10X.

The Florida winner's prize was a 3X multiplier, raising the ticket's value from $1 million to $3 million.

The winning ticket was sold at a Neptune Beach Publix in Florida.

Saltines Holdings LLC of Miami, claimed the prize and opted for the cash option of $794,248,882 million.

Nobody claimed $36 million Mega Millions prize sold in August 2023

A week after the record $1.58 billion Mega Millions jackpot, another Publix sold a winning Mega Millions ticket.

The winning ticket was sold at a Publix on Roosevelt Boulevard in Jacksonville.

The winning ticket, valued at $36 million, was drawn Aug. 15, 2023. It was never claimed and has since expired.

Are you a winner? Here’s how to claim your prize

Prizes for Florida Lottery must be claimed within 180 days from the date of the drawing. To claim a single-payment cash option, the winner has 60 days after the draw date to claim the prize.

  • Prizes of $599 or less: Claim at any authorized Florida Lottery retailer or Florida Lottery district office.

  • Prizes for $600 to $1 million: Must be claimed in person at any Florida Lottery district office for games that do not offer an annual payment option.

  • Prizes greater than $1 million and all prizes with an annual payment option: Must be claimed at Florida Lottery headquarters, except Mega Millions and Powerball prizes, which can be claimed at any Florida Lottery district office.

You also can claim your winnings by mail if the prize is $250,000 or less. Mail your ticket to the Florida Lottery with the required documentation.

Florida law requires public disclosure of winners

If you’re a winner, Florida law mandates the following information is public record:

  • Full name

  • City of residence

  • Game won

  • Date won

  • Amount won

  • Name and location of the retailer where the winning ticket was purchased.

However, the Florida Lottery's website said, the "names of lottery winners claiming prizes of $250,000 or greater will be temporarily exempt from public disclosure for 90 days from the date the prize is claimed, unless otherwise waived by the winner."

Lottery experts and lawyers have said there are ways to remain anonymous if you win.
