Gas station and convenience store chain Sheetz is giving away free hot dogs with any purchase over Labor Day weekend to celebrate the grand opening of its 800th store. The new store is in North Carolina, but all Sheetz locations will be offering the deal.

Sheetz offers free hot dogs, $100 gift cards over Labor Day weekend
Customers can get two free hot dogs with any purchase at any Sheetz location starting Thursday, August 28. The deal runs through September 2.
The chain adds that this Labor Day weekend offer is available at all 800 Sheetz locations through the OFFERZ tab in the Sheetz app (extras and add-ons not included).
Additionally, Sheets announced a separate giveaway of eight $100 gift cards as part of its grand opening celebration. Fans must follow the Sheetz account on X, quote and tag their post, and comment for a chance to win.
Sheetz expands its Ohio footprint in 2025
Ohio has seen a significant uptick in Sheetz locations in 2025. The chain opened two new Columbus-area stores in May and launched its first Fremont location in June.
Last year, Sheetz opened its first two locations in the greater Cincinnati area in Franklin, Ohio, and Springboro, Ohio. Sheetz also unveiled its first two stores in Toledo last year, and in May 2025, Sheetz opened two additional stores in the area and plans to open more later this year. Sheetz plans to open its 1,000th store by 2028.
Last year, Sheetz announced it broke ground on the construction of its new $169 million food preparation and distribution center in Findlay, Ohio, projected to open in 2026, according to WDTN Dayton.
How many Sheetz locations are there in Ohio?
Sheetz opens its 800th location in Raleigh, North Carolina, on August. 28. The chain has 126 Ohio locations, according to ScrapeHero data. This includes 11 stores in Columbus and three in Akron. Sheetz has locations across Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia.
