Frankie Muniz Misses NASCAR Races For Yardwork Accident

Hollywood actor turned NASCAR driver Frankie Muniz has suffered an injury after doing some yardwork, meaning he’ll miss a few races. We don’t know what kind of impact that will honestly have on the field for the Craftsman Truck Series where Muniz competes, considering he’s struggled to truly compete.

Drag racing legend Ken Black dies at 79.

According to a social media post from Muniz himself, he fractured his distal radius or wrist while standing on a ladder, changing out the batteries in a Ring camera in his own backyard.

The actor indicated he was standing on the top step, despite the warning printed on the ladder, causing him to lose balance and fall, landing hard on the ground. He even admits “a taller ladder would’ve been smarter” for him to use to complete the job safely.

As they say, hindsight is always 20/20.

At the beginning of the announcement, Muniz makes reference to “Frankie Muniz’s Life” which is something we’ve never heard of before. But we get the feeling the guy is struggling to a degree. We know for sure he’s struggling in NASCAR as he’s ranked number 24 out of 66 drivers. At least he’s not 65.

But the guy has complained about not getting respect in NASCAR, claiming other drivers won’t drive tandem with him on the track, which he takes as a lack of regard for him and his skills. He’s suffered some DNFs and other difficulties, clearly learning through experience that life as a racer is tough and often lonely.

The wrist fracture is supposed to keep Muniz out of competition for six to eight weeks, so he’s going to be sitting out for a while.

Maybe he should hire someone to check on his Ring cameras in the future? Or buy a taller ladder and learn how to use it properly.
