Claire's is set to close nine stores in Oregon following a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing and sale to a private equity firm.
Claire's Holdings, a U.S.-based boutique mall chain primarily marketed to tweens, teens and young women, announced on Aug. 20 that it had sold to private equity firm Ames Watson for $104 million.
Following the sale, 235 Claire's locations in the U.S. and 56 Icing stores, also owned by Claire's, were listed for closure in a court filing on Monday, Aug. 25, with nine stores identified for closure in Oregon.

When are Claire's stores closing in Oregon?
A timeline for Claire's store closures has not yet been released.
The "sale commencement date" was set on July 25 and will conclude no later than Sept. 7, according to the court filing.
