CINCINNATI, Ohio (WJW) – An Ohio woman scratched off the top prize of an Ohio Lottery ticket, winning $40,000 a year for 25 years. That’s $1 million.
According to a lottery press release, the Cincinnati woman chose the cash option of $500,000. After mandatory federal and state taxes, totaling 28 percent, she will take home about $360,000.

The lottery said the winning VIP Millions ticket was purchased at Ameristop Food Mart.
VIP Millions tickets are sold for $50. As of July 31, 2025, lottery officials said, there are 30 top prizes remaining in the game.
