Another mild stretch for Central Pennsylvania

ALTOONA, PA. (WTAJ) — Lingering impacts from wildfire smoke have parts of Central Pennsylvania within an Air Quality Watch.

The watch has been issued for Centre and Huntingdon County through 12 a.m. Wednesday.

Stick with WTAJ Your Weather Authority for all severe weather alerts and updates.

Limit your time outdoors if you have sensitive respiratory diseases. Most of the general public will not be impacted.

Clouds return for our Tuesday, but some pockets of sunshine is possible for the afternoon! An overall mild day is instore, with daytime highs in the 80s likely.

The Altoona Curve return home today with weather conditions cooperating.

Temps hover around 80 degree for first pitch and will only dip towards the 70s for the back half of the game.

We are in a prolonged period of little to no measurable rainfall for Central Pennsylvania.

Cool Canadian air is the culprit for now, but a change in flow doesn’t suggest rain returning either for the weekend.

Over the next few days, an isolated shower or two is possible to our south. Dry air above our heads however, will likely impact it reaching the surface.

Not good news for the farmers and gardeners.

If any caveat, you don’t have to worry about cutting the grass as frequent as we did in May.
