Delaware’s favorite 'main street businesses'

MarketBeat, a financial media company, surveyed 3,004 locals to find out which independently owned businesses define various towns across the country.
Out of the 220 “most loved independent main street businesses,” three Delaware shops stood out as local favorites.
The Butcher Block in Milton is No. 93.
It is known for fresh sausage, thick-cut steaks and old-school service, according to MarketBeat, and is a “no-frills shop where Sunday dinners start.” If they don’t have something you’re looking for, they’ll make it for you upon request. Does service get any better than that?

Willey Farms in Townsend, at No. 166, is the second Delaware location highlighted.
MarketBeat notes that the shop was rebuilt from the ground up after a fire nearly shut the operation down in 2018. Since then, locals continue to flood the farm for all their seasonal needs, including spring seedlings, warm apple cider on a cold day and pumpkins in the fall.
Browseabout Books in Rehoboth Beach is No. 167.
