Two would-be car thieves in Melbourne, Australia got the scare of their lives when the owner started barking at them. That’s right, the guy whose car they were trying to take came out of his house in the middle of the night and just started barking at the pair as if he were a dog.
Lane-splitting motorcycle busted by cop, caught on video.
In surveillance footage the guy shared with 10 News Melbourne, you see one of the suspects sprint across the hood of the Audi his buddy is trying to boost, over the roof, leaping on the driveway before scaling the gate across the driveway in a hurry.
Right after that, the second suspect, who’s sitting in the driver’s seat, gets out of the car and runs away, hopping the gate as well.
The funny thing is the second guy seems to have started the car and put it into reverse, because it slowly rolls back into the gate after the would-be thief jumps out.
That’s when you see the owner walk into the frame as he keeps barking, then yells, “I will ---- kill you!”
He continues to bark as the suspects run away, lurching his arms in some strange dance. You can laugh all you want, we did, but it gets results!
A lot of people have thoughts about the video. One is that if the thieves had a gun, the Audi owner probably would be dead. That’s a fair point, because despite all its gun control, there are still guns in the hands of criminals in Australia.
Another is the guy doesn’t look so intimidating. He doesn’t appear to be particularly large, but it was enough to scar the two hooded criminals.
Finally, there are people theorizing the car owner was drunk or on something else. We guess that’s a possibility and would explain the choice to bark at the thieves.
Honestly, we wouldn’t try this, but at least this one time barking like a dog scared off some car thieves.
