Andy Cohen is a true family man.
This was further proven on Friday, August 8, when the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host returned to his Hamptons beach home with 6-year-old son Ben and 3-year-old daughter Lucy. However, this particular weekend getaway was extra special, as it included Andy’s mom and dad, Evelyn and Lou Cohen.

“Parents are in town!” Andy captioned an Instagram video of the family reunion.
The clip was filmed at The Lobster Roll, an iconic seafood restaurant in Amagansett. The Reel began with Andy’s dad, Lou, holding up a woman's black-and-white portrait while his grandchildren, Ben and Lucy, tried to guess the woman’s identity.
“You think that’s Princess Leia, Ben?” Andy said from behind the camera.

“No, no, no. It kind of looks like Princess Leia, plus it kind of also looks like ma,” Ben replied, referring to his grandman. “Plus one of the presidents that wasn’t voted [in].”
“Oh, you think that looks like Kamala Harris, also?” Andy said. “Interesting.”
The WWHL host then asked his daughter, Lucy, to take a guess before revealing that the woman in the photo was, in fact, Grandma Evelyn.
“I knew it!” Ben shouted.
“This is the before and after,” Andy said as he pointed the camera toward the old photo and then his mom. “And you know what? She looks just as good. Right, Ben?”
Andy confirmed that the portrait was taken in 1958.

Andy Cohen recalls the moment he came out to his mom
As indicated by Andy’s previous posts, Evelyn and Lou will celebrate their 66th anniversary in September. The longtime couple raised Andy and his younger sister, Emily Rosenfeld, in St. Louis, Missouri, where they reside to this day.

Andy touched on his family dynamics in a 2021 People magazine article, recalling how his mother supported him when he came out as gay.

“It definitely brought us closer,” he said. “She’d found a letter I wrote to someone in which I expressed my fear about telling more people I was gay. She thinks I left it out on purpose so she would find it. She confronted me about it, and I told her I was gay. We both started crying, and it was very emotional. But moments later, she said, ‘I probably would’ve hated your wife anyway.’ It was so funny and so true.”
Andy said shortly after he came out, his mom began volunteering at Doorways, a St. Louis organization that provides housing and supportive services for people living with HIV/AIDS.
“It’s an amazing testament to the kind of person she is, that her reaction to me coming out was: ‘I need to get involved in this community,’” Andy recalled.
