Explosion reported at western Pennsylvania coke works

Authorities have reported an explosion Aug. 11 at the U.S. Steel Clairton Coke Works plant in Allegheny County.

Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro said the "scene is still active" and that state emergency officials and police have offered their help to local first responders.

The Associated Press has reported that emergency responders are working to free people trapped under rubble at the plant. Rescue workers have taken five people from the scene, according to the report.
