Inspector general investigating deadly shooting involving Connecticut State Police in Bozrah

BOZRAH, Conn. (WTNH) — The Connecticut Office of the Inspector General is investigating a deadly shooting involving Connecticut State Police in Bozrah.

Troopers responded to Gifford Lane in Bozrah Saturday evening for an “active disturbance involving a firearm.”

State police said on Saturday that there was no threat to the public.

“A preliminary status report required by state statute within five business days of the cause of death becoming available will be released in the near future,” the inspector general’s office said in a statement on Monday.
