An evacuation alert for residents living along Roberts Ranch Road and Dunning Road near Highway 58 east of Oakridge was downgraded to a Level 1 on Aug. 11 after the area was threatened by a wildfire.
Level 1 means to be aware of the danger that exists in the area.
The Aubrey Mountain Fire, which ignited Aug. 7, was at 75% containment after burning at least 25 acres of trees and brush in the Willamette National Forest, according to U.S. Forest Service officials.
Highway 58 was reduced to one lane between milepost 36 and 62.
According to the U.S. Forest Service in a social media post, great progress has been made on the fire as crews extended mop-up operations beyond their handline.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. An extreme heat warning will remain in place in and around Oakridge until Aug. 12 as temperatures are expected to reach upward of 98 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Portland.
