A man was arrested in Colorado in connection with the shooting death of a man in Fabens five months ago, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office said.
Angel Lozano, 23, is accused of the homicide of 26-year-old Aaron Joseph Villa, who was shot multiple times on March 20 at a home in the 100 block of Mezcla Street in Fabens, stated a news release issued by sheriff's spokeswoman Priscilla I. Contreras on Monday, Aug. 11.

Lozano, who has a small "13" and clown triangle tattoos inked over both eyes, was taken into custody on Monday, Aug. 11, by the U.S. Marshals Service Colorado Violent Offender Task Force, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office said.
The number "13" is used as a signifier by Sureño gang members.
Lozano was booked into the Weld County Jail in Greeley, Colorado, pending extradition to Texas.

The arrest followed an investigation by sheriff's detectives with the Major Crimes Unit and the assistance of the Texas Rangers of the Texas Department of Public Safety.
"This arrest is the result of tireless investigative work and the strong partnerships we maintain with our state and federal law enforcement counterparts," Sheriff Oscar Ugarte said in a statement.
"My deepest condolences go out to the family of Mr. Villa. We remain committed to ensuring that those who commit acts of violence in our community are held accountable," Ugarte said.

At about 1:50 a.m. on March 20, deputies responding to a call about shots fired and an aggravated assault arrived to find Villa with multiple gunshot wounds, the Sheriff's Office previously said. Villa was transported to Del Sol Medical Center in El Paso, where he died of his wounds.
A possible motive in the deadly shooting has not been disclosed.
