A man wanted in a fatal shooting at a Wegmans warehouse in New York was arrested in Knoxville.

U.S. Marshals arrested Kyshonn Green, 32, who is accused of killing J'Mere Ridley-Smith, a co-worker, on July 26.

Green was arrested July 27 as he exited a Greyhound bus as it arrived in Knoxville, according to a news release from the U.S. Marshals.

Police say Ridley-Smith was shot multiple times while working inside the warehouse in Gates, New York. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Wegmans spokeswoman Deana Percassi described Ridley-Smith as "a valued member of our team" and that his death "leaves a void in our hearts."

Green is expected to be extradited back to New York to be arraigned, Gates Police Chief Rob Long told the USA TODAY Network.

Victoria E. Freile of the USA TODAY Network contributed to this report.
