Several state agencies have temporarily closed their offices to the public, delayed services or altered operations because of a "statewide network outage."
A range of agencies, from Service Oklahoma to the Construction Industries Board, started alerting Oklahomans to the issues on Tuesday, Aug. 12.
Christa Helfrey, a spokeswoman for the Office of Management and Enterprise Services, said Tuesday afternoon that the agency was working to fix an internet outage. She later said that while the cause of the outage was under investigation, it was "not a breach of state systems."
Service Oklahoma said the outage affected its offices, website and call center, including its drivers license services. Officials at the Department of Labor and the Ethics Commission both said early Tuesday afternoon that their offices were closing for the day because of the outage.
