
MOULTONBOROUGH, N.H. – The New Hampshire State Police is investigating the death of an elderly man who was believed to have been swimming in Lake Winnipesaukee, and is believed to be an accidental drowning.
Mexican national drowns in Berkshire County lake
New Hampshire State Police stated that on Monday at around 8:19 p.m., the marine patrol was notified of a missing person. Authorities searched throughout the night, and a body was recovered near the shoreline the following morning at around 7:23 a.m.
State Police say that they believe the downing victim is of the missing man, 76-year-old Forrest Wells of Virginia. His death is not considered suspicious.
