INDIAN ORCHARD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church held a mass Monday morning, sending off 20 young adults to Rome to take part in a worldwide Jubilee of Young People.
Catholics around the world see this pilgrimage as an opportunity for young people to experience transformation and hope. This special moment during the Holy Year is a celebration of the 2,025th anniversary of the Incarnation of the Lord.

22News spoke with one young man becoming a priest. He says he will be guiding a group, and hopes the young pilgrims come back seeing the Lord is not only present in the Eternal City, but also right here in western Massachusetts.
“It’s really important to revel in these graces not only in Rome but also here,” said Seminarian Matt Wrona. “Bringing that same sort of zeal for pilgrimage back home and bringing to life our parishes in western Mass,”
The trip lasts from July 28 to August 3, and during that time, the group will visit Holy sites in Rome and travel to the Catholic Pilgrimage site of Assisi.
