Top Armada now costs over $80k, but it’s not the Nismo

Almost two months since revealing the potent Nissan Armada Nismo, the Japanese automaker has now revealed pricing for the entire Armada lineup. This full-size SUV is a vast improvement over its predecessor, and the top trims have enough luxury for most, without resorting to the high price tag of the even more luxurious Infiniti QX80.

For the new model year, all versions of the Armada are more expensive. Surprisingly, though, the high-performance Nismo isn’t the most expensive. Let’s dive into what’s new for the latest Armada.

2026 Armada Starts At $58,840

The 2026 Nissan Armada now starts at $58,840 for the SV trim in 4x2 guise. That’s $1,320 more than the 2025 equivalent. Here’s a look at the rest of the range’s pricing in 4x2 and 4x4 guise:

  • SV 4x2: $58,840

  • SL 4x2: $63,530

  • Platinum 4x2: $70,490

  • Platinum Reserve 4x2: $77,550

  • SV 4x4: $61,840

  • SL 4x4: $66,530

  • Platinum 4x4: $73,490

  • Pro-4X: $74,300

  • Nismo: $79,530

  • Platinum Reserve 4x4: $80,550

The SV is the only trim with a price bump that exceeds $1,000. This also marks the first time that the Armada tops $80k, which applies to the range-topping Platinum Reserve with the 4x4 system. That’s a lot of money, but the Platinum Reserve is packed with features like quilted leather upholstery, heated seats in the first two rows, and a 14.3-inch drive-assist display.

The Nismo costs a little less than the closest Chevy Tahoe, which is the sporty RST with 4x4 and its optional 420-hp 6.2-liter V8. Even the Tahoe RST Performance Edition can't quite match the Nismo, and this upgrade adds nearly $10k to the RST's price. The Nissan is also cheaper than Ford’s Expedition with its available 440-hp V6. In other words, none of the Armada Nismo’s direct rivals have as much power (460 hp) at around the $80k mark.

Minimal Changes For 2026

Besides the all-new Nismo, Nissan has not made any major updates to the Armada for the 2026 model year. This is no surprise since the 2025 Armada was an all-new model.

The off-road-focused Pro-4X can now be ordered with second-row captain’s chairs. Previously, this rugged trim was only available with a second-row bench. While the Nismo prioritizes on-road performance, the Pro-4X is the one that’s most willing to get dirty. It gets an electronic locking rear differential, all-terrain tires, a rear LED light bar, and a unique front bumper that allows for an improved approach angle.

The base Armada remains a high-value option in its class, undercutting the Chevy Tahoe. It gets the same 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 as all other Armadas besides the Nismo, an engine that makes 425 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. It can seat eight occupants and gets a power driver’s seat, leatherette upholstery, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, and tri-zone climate control.

Although Armada sales are slightly down this year, the new Nismo could be the boost that Nissan's largest SUV needs for the new model year.
