Back in 2005, Lamborghini opened the Centro Stile at its Sant’Agata Bolognese campus. The in-house design center has produced some of the rarest and most iconic Lamborghini products of the 21st Century, including the Reventón, Sesto Elemento, Veneno, Centenario, Sían, and the reborn Countach. In order to celebrate 25 years of the design studio, the automaker has just pulled the cover off of its latest limited-production car: the Lamborghini Fenomeno. This hybridized V-12 supercar isn’t just a styling exercise, either; in fact, it's the most powerful Lamborghini yet.

The Fenomeno is the latest entrant in the brand’s ‘Few-Off” series, which transforms the series production cars into something new. The name, like that of most Lamborghinis, traces its roots to a famed fighting bull—in this case, one that participated in a bout in Morelia, Mexico, in 2002. The car is clearly based on the Revuelto, packing a familiar 6.5-liter V-12 engine and tri-electric motor setup. That’s not to say that Lamborghini hasn’t changed anything, with this new model receiving a sizable output bump.

Power now sits at 1065 hp at a ridiculous 9250 rpm, up from the 1001 on offer in the series production model. Peak torque remains 535 lb-ft. That power is fed to all four wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox, which features an integrated electric motor that can independently operate the rear axle. This means the car can maintain four-wheel drive even in pure electric mode, ensuring you aren’t driving a front-wheel drive supercar.

Use all of the right pedal and Lambo says the Fenomeno can rip off a 0-62 mph sprint in just 2.4 seconds, and go from 0-124 mph in just 6.7. (That should result in some truly impressive quarter-mile times once testers get their hands on the cars.) Lambo also claims a top speed in excess of 217 mph. And while you might assume that the hybrid is a weighty machine, Lamborghini says the car has the best power to weight ratio of any car it has ever produced, measuring in at 1.64 kilograms per metric horsepower.

“With the Fenomeno, Lamborghini once again presents an incomparable super sports car in a limited edition," Lamborghini chairman and CEO Stephan Winkelmann said in a statement. "The combination of the most powerful V-12 in our history, breathtaking design, superior aerodynamics, and cutting-edge technologies such as extreme lightweight construction make the Fenomeno the most extraordinary super sports car of our time.”

The Fenomeno doesn’t just rely on brute power. Lamborghini gives the car a race-grade suspension system, which are manually adjustable for different track surfaces. The brakes are CCM-R Plus carbon-ceramic units, similar to those used on the brand’s SC63 LMDh racer. Beside the massive stoppers sit a set of forged centerlock rims, wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza Sport tires. Customers can also opt for a set of Potenza Race rubber when it comes time to turn laps.

The interior is an all-carbon affair that looks very sci-fi when the ambient lighting is in full effect. The dash, center console, door cars, and bucket seats are all finished in carbon fiber, though that’s not to say there’s no room for customization; Lamborghini says customers can choose from a nearly unlimited list of interior colors and materials, allowing for a truly one-of-one build. The Lamborghini Ad Personam extends to the exterior as well, where the brand has curated more than 400 unique exterior hues.

Only 29 examples of the Lamborghini Fenomeno are slated for production. The automaker hasn’t shared a price for the car, as that’s likely not a relevant question for those who are interested. That said, it is more than likely that all of these cars have already been spoken for. Here’s to at least 20 more years of insane Lamborghini models born out of Centro Stile.
