Here are the 10 best, and why they're ranked where they are:
1. Tulane University
Tulane University in New Orleans is said to be the number one college in Louisiana, with the four-year university ranking high in academics, diversity, athletics, campus, professors, party scene, locations and student life. Tulane has a 15% acceptance rate, a total of 8,180 undergrad students and a net price per year of $50,631, according to Niche.
2. Louisiana Tech University
Louisiana Tech University in Ruston is considered the second best college in Louisiana, with the four-year school rating highly in academics, athletics, professors, student life and campus food. The school costs approximately $12,593 per year, has a 73% acceptance rate and a total of 10,576 undergrad students, says Niche.
3. Louisiana State University
Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge is a four-year university that is highly rated for diversity, athletics, professors, student life, party scene and campus food. The school's tuition per year costs approximately $21,808, and there is a 74% acceptance rate with a total of 34,242 undergrad students, according to Niche.
4. Louisiana State University-Alexandria
Louisiana State University at Alexandria is an above-average public university that's highly rated for diversity, campus, campus food, student life and safety. This school has a 93% acceptance rate, with a total of 7,098 undergrad students and a net price per year of $8,081, says Niche.
5. University of Louisiana at Lafayette
University of Louisiana at Lafayette is another above-average public university that ranks highly when it comes to athletics, party scene, location, student life and campus food. The school's net price per year in approximately $13,443, with an 89% acceptance rate and a total of 13,179 students, according to Niche.

6. University of Louisiana-Monroe
University of Louisiana at Monroe is a four-year public university that rates highly in diversity and professors. The school has a 75% acceptance rate, net price per year of $11,160 and a total of 6,550 undergraduate students. Around 51% of students graduate from University of Louisiana at Monroe, says Niche.

There are a total of 5,612 undergraduate students, with an acceptance rate of 96% and a net price per year of $11,029. Nicholls State University graduates approximately 54% of students, says Niche.
