Weekend weather forecast for Akron, Canton, Cincinnati, Columbus
It may be a calm weekend for much of Ohio, with a slight chance of precipitation that could impact your chance to see the tail end of the Perseids meteor shower.
Here's a look at the National Weather Service extended weather forecast for Akron, Cincinnati and Columbus as of August 15:
Akron-Canton
Saturday: Akron and Canton start the weekend sunny with high temperatures. Saturday will be mostly sunny with no rain in the forecast. Temperatures will be a high of 89 and a low of 70. By nighttime, it will be partly cloudy with a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Sunday: The end of the weekend may begin with rain, but will be sunny for the most part. On Sunday, there will be a 50% chance of showers after 8 a.m., and it will be partly sunny. Temperatures will hit a high of 87 and a low of 65. By Sunday evening, the skies will be partly cloudy, with a 30% chance of precipitation.
Cincinnati
August 2: Cincinnati's weekend will begin be sunny and bright. Saturday will be sunny, with temperatures reaching a high of 95 and a low of 73. By nighttime, it will be mostly clear with calm winds.
Sunday: Cincy's sunny skies will continue through Sunday, but the area may see some rain with a 20% chance of precipitation after 2 p.m. Temperatures will be a high of 96 and a low of 73. By Sunday evening, the skies will be partly cloudy, though no precipitation is expected.
Columbus
Saturday: Columbus locals, it's going to be a breezy and warm weekend. Saturday will be mostly sunny, and temperatures will be a high of 93 and a low of 73. The evening will be mostly clear with a calm breeze.
Sunday, August 3: Columbus' weekend will end mostly sunny, but the forecast includes a 40% chance of precipitation. Temperatures will be a high of 92 and a low of 70. By Sunday evening, the skies may see thunder and lightning with a 30% chance of precipitation.
