The 15-year-old was taken into custody and brought to the Lea County Juvenile Detention Center in Lovington on one charge of making a shooting threat.
NMSP said the Tucumcari Police Department responded to the teen’s home more than 70 times for disturbance calls involving the teen from June 2025 to the present. One of those calls included the juvenile being in possession of a stolen firearm, state police added.
