Just when some people thought Ringbrothers was settling into a rut, the shop debuted its 1971 Aston Martin DBS. Called Octavia, the svelte British dream car looks amazing, knocking the socks off car enthusiasts around the world. It also confirms Ringbrothers hasn’t lost its touch one bit.
Check out the car that offends Ford and Ferrari fans at once.
According to the shop, Octavia is not only the first Aston Martin it’s customized, the car constitutes the most advanced build it’s performed yet. That’s obvious as you look at the results next to a stock ’71 DBS, revealing all the nips, tucks, and additions made to the luxury sport coupe.
The restomod build takes the classic vehicle and modernizes it in a number of ways. Starting with the carbon fiber body, every panel is altered from the original. That was in part necessary because the chassis was heavily altered as well.

First, the track width has been increased by eight inches up front and ten inches in the rear. That helps with handling and accommodating the wider tires for the increased engine output (more on that later).
But Ringbrothers also made the interior a little roomier and thus more luxurious by stretching the wheelbase three inches. Roadster Shop got to work making magic happen with the chassis tuning, which includes Fox RS SV coilovers.
Flaunting the new look further are custom three-piece HRE centerlock wheels.
Under the hood is the most blasphemous part of this build: a supercharged 5.0-liter Coyote V8 from Ford Performance. With a claimed 805-horsepower sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission, it should be a rather wild, if not civilized, ride.
The interior features leather, stainless steel, carbon fiber, and modern technologies for a comfortable and highly presentable space.
Ringbrothers says it put over 12,000 manhours into the creation of Octavia, making it a labor of love.
