The Los Angeles Rams got some excellent news Monday. After weeks of uncertain injury updates, quarterback Matthew Stafford finally returned to practice.
The Rams got out in front of the news, immediately tweeting out a picture of Stafford taking the field in a red practice jersey.
The news should come as a welcome surprise for Rams fans, who have been given murky updates about the quarterback's injury status throughout training camp. Head coach Sean McVay teased Stafford's return a few times during camp, inviting plenty of questions when the quarterback failed to take the field after McVay indicated Stafford would be back.
Stafford is dealing with a back injury. While his absence from training camp caused some to wonder whether Stafford's Week 1 status was in jeopardy, his return suggests he'll be fine for the start of the regular season.
