Bill Belichick's Ex Linda Holliday Was 'Furious' After Jordon Hudson Was Photographed at Same Nantucket Event (Exclusive Source)

There was no drama during a recent event attended by both Bill Belichick's girlfriend Jordon Hudson and his ex Linda Holliday, but an inside source tells PEOPLE tensions heightened in the days that followed.

Hudson, 24, and Holliday — who dated Belichick for 16 years — were both spotted in photos taken at the annual Boston Pops on Nantucket concert to benefit Nantucket Cottage Hospital on Saturday, Aug 9.

Local Nantucket newspaper The Inquirer and Mirror published photos of celebrity attendees, though the outlet did not specify whether or not Hudson and Holliday interacted during the benefit on Jetties Beach. The printed page showed Hudson with her friend Melissa Sapini and Holliday alongside author Elin Hilderbrand.

"The event itself was peaceful, fun and everyone minded their own business," a source tells PEOPLE exclusively.

“The drama began the day after, when Jordon and Melissa were featured as the first slide on Nantucket Inquirer & Mirror’s post about the event," the insider adds, referring to the newspaper's Instagram carousel shared on Aug. 10. "Linda was furious because she wants Jordon to be excluded."

Holliday did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment, and representatives for The Inquirer and Mirror and Boston Pops on Nantucket did not respond to PEOPLE's request for comment regarding the event and printed newspaper page.

Sapini — who holds the title of Miss Massachusetts USA 2024 — also accompanied Hudson on the night of her previous public encounter with Holliday at the Dreamland Stroll Party on Dec. 6. This May, a source told PEOPLE that women engaged in a tense "verbal incident" at the Christmas event.

"It was very uncomfortable. There was a lot being exchanged between them. It was very aggressive behavior," said the insider, who also noted that the New England and Massachusetts crowd runs tight, and the communities can be "very small."

"Sometimes you’re going to see the same people in that big circle. It was a horrible coincidence," the source told PEOPLE. "Whatever situation or history they might have between the two of them, that’s between them. Again, not the right place to do that. But it was a very, very uncomfortable night."
