Truck rams into Lululemon in downtown Greenville, two men flee with merchandise

A retail store in the heart of downtown Greenville was damaged overnight when a truck smashed into it.

According to Greenville Police Department Sgt. Diana Munoz, the truck rammed into the Lululemon at 600 South Main St., at about 3:44 a.m., on Aug. 19.

Two men then ran into the Lululemon and stole about $4,600 worth of merchandise.

Munoz said the police department received a report about two men reversing a Home Depot rental truck into the store. The first officer arrived at the scene at 3:45 a.m. after the men fled.

The truck was later recovered three hours away from Greenville in Griffin, Ga. Munoz said no arrests have been made.

The Greenville Police Department declined to give further information about the incident.

Lululemon is an athletic and streetwear brand retailer based in Canada. It has 477 stores across the U.S., including seven stores in South Carolina — Greenville, Columbia, Mount Pleasant, Hilton Head, Johns Island, Charleston, and Myrtle Beach.
