CONNECTICUT (WTNH) — U.S. News & World Report has released their official ranking of top high schools in Connecticut.

Connecticut public schools named second-best in US: WalletHub

The website ranked 208 high schools in the state.

The ranking is based on factors like college readiness, state assessment proficiency and performance, college curriculum breadth and graduation rate.

Here’s which schools made it to the top 10:

  1. Connecticut IB Academy, East Hartford

  2. New Canaan High School, New Canaan

  3. Weston High School, Weston

  4. Darien High School, Darien

  5. Wilton High School, Wilton

  6. Staples High School, Westport

  7. Marine Science Magnet High School of Southeastern, Groton

  8. Lyme-Old Lyme High School, Old Lyme

  9. Greenwich High School, Greenwich

  10. Hall High School, West Hartford

Five schools were unranked by the website:

  1. Coventry Academy, Coventry

  2. Griswold Alternative School, Griswold

  3. Highville Charter School, New Haven

  4. Jumoke Academy, Hartford

  5. The Bridge at Aces, Hamden
