Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders didn't miss much time with his oblique injury. The Browns' rookie returned to action Wednesday, per News 5 Cleveland.
Sanders took part in 11-on-11 drills, a significant step forward for the rookie.
While Sanders did not practice Tuesday, he was able to throw, opening the door for his return Wednesday.
Sanders sustained the injury during an Aug. 13 practice, and was considered limited for nearly a full week. He was unable to play in the team's second preseason game due to the issue.
In Sanders' absence, Joe Flacco was named the team's starting quarterback. Backup Kenny Pickett also returned from an injury, though the team announced Wednesday that Pickett would not play in its final preseason game.
